A Young Man Gets a “Drunk Driving” Arrest, Decides to Hire a DUI Attorney, and Gets Inspired to Always Drink In Moderation
Ralph had just received his fourth “driving under the influence” arrest. He was going to represent himself in court, but his father, Sam, told him that this would be a big mistake. When Ralph heard this, he asked Sam why he should even consider getting a DUI attorney.
Although Sam wasn’t a lawyer, he told his son that he learned the hard way when as a young man he received a “driving under the influence” arrest, represented himself in court, paid fifty-five hundred dollars in fines and penalties, and served 60 days in the jail downtown. As he mentioned to his son, after he got out of jail, he found out from a lawyer friend that had he hired a DUI attorney to represent him in court, he probably would have had his fines and penalties substantially reduced and he may have never served any jail time.
What a DUI Attorney Can Do in a Driving Under the Influence Arrest.
When Ralph heard this he knew he needed more DUI facts so he asked his dad for more information about what a DUI attorney can do in a DWI arrest. His dad then articulated the following: “A DUI attorney will see if there’s a way to get your case dismissed, and if this possibility does not exist, your DUI lawyer will be looking at what viable defenses there are to winning your case.”
When Ralph listend to his father explain this, it was as if his eyes were opened for the first time about the importance of hiring a ”driving under the influence” attorney. Stated more precisely, Ralph realized that he needed a DUI lawyer.
The Real Facts About Taking a Field Sobriety Test
He then told his dad that he had heard a lot about field sobriety tests. As a consequence, he asked his father what a field sobriety test was.
His dad responded with the following: “Ralph, field sobriety tests are administered by police officers to determine if a person has been operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, alcohol, or both. Field sobriety tests frequently consist of the ‘walk and turn,’ test, the ‘one-leg stand,’ test, the ‘pen light’ test, and other field sobriety tests. If you are arrested by the police for a suspected DUI, you should know that you are not legally required to take these field sobriety tests. In fact, many DUI attorneys believe field sobriety tests lack scientific merit and are invalid.”
Ralph’s father then wanted to underline the following: “Ralph, unlike a chemical test such as a breathalyzer test, a blood alcohol test, or a saliva test, where refusal to take such a test can have far-reaching and negative consequences, an individual is not legally required to take any field sobriety tests. The bottom line reality is that police officers have typically made up their minds to arrest the individual when they administer one of more of the field sobriety tests. In a word, field sobriety tests provide additional evidence that the driver inevitably ‘fails.’ As a result, and in most instances, a polite refusal to take any field sobriety test may be appropriate”
Near the end of their conversation, Ralph said that was starting to grasp the significance of DUI laws and what ”driving under the influence” attorneys can do for a person who has received a DWI arrest, but he was still wondering why he was pulled over by the police in the first place. In his own words Ralph asked his father the following question: “Dad, why was I stopped by the police? Exactly what were they looking for”?
His dad answered Ralph in the following manner: “Ralph, there are several diverse reasons why you could have been ’stopped’ by a police officer. Some examples include the following: involvement in a traffic accident, expired registration tags, missing a front license plate, weaving in and out of traffic, speeding, tinted windows, and driving erratically. Not only this but someone could have also reported you to the police after seeing you leaving a sporting event, a party, a restaurant, or a bar ‘under the influence’ and getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. In a word, there are more than a few reasons why you were ’stopped’ by a police officer.”
After getting “educated” about “drunk driving” arrests, the role of DUI attorneys, and the fact that he didn’t have to agree to take any field sobriety tests at the time of his arrest, Ralph decided that he would without question hire a DWI attorney to represent him in court.
Ralph Gets Motivated That He Will Always Drink In Moderation and Never Face Another DWI Arrest
Something else, however, happened after he had talked to his dad. Ralph at last started to understand the critical nature of DUI arrests and as a consequence, he made up his mind that from this moment forward, he would always drink in moderation so that he would never again have to go through another “drunk driving” arrest.
His dad smiled at Ralph and told him the following, “Ralph, it took me until I was fifty years old to realize what you just told me. I am really proud of you.
Ralph thanked his dad and then said, “if I can always drink in moderation, I will never need to hire a DUI attorney again!”

A Young Female Needs Counseling for Her Manic Depression and For Her Alcohol and Drug Dependency
Roughly three weeks ago I heard about a twenty-eight-year-old lady named Rachael who is manic depressive and who is also dependent on alcohol and drugs. I have read that under such circumstances, an individual needs to get treatment for both medical situations and that mental health problems and chemical dependency commonly take place in the same individual. Moreover, I recollect hearing that a history of careless and hazardous drinking, drug addiction, and/or mental health concerns quite often occur in the same family.
Obviously, Rachael is so dejected by both of her medical problems that she in essence has no reason to complete much of anything. What is especially sad about this is that earlier in her life, Rachael managed to complete three years of college. Rachael’s situation makes me wonder if she is an example of an individual who has to hit life’s bottom before he or she gets drug and alcohol addiction treatment that leads to long-term recovery.
The Need For a Therapist She Trusts and a Treatment Protocol She Can Believe In
If I were in communication with Rachael I could recommend several websites and blogs that could possibly help her locate info about addiction and alcoholic behavior, significant chemical dependency information, facts about alcoholism and drugs, and info about addiction symptoms and alcoholism warning signs. In my humble opinion, however, Rachael needs to find a healthcare professional she trusts and a counseling regimen she can believe in and follow through over the long term. I could be wrong but it seems to make sense that Rachael more likely than not needs to understand the fact that she cannot drink at all or abuse drugs if she wants to get sober, stay sober, and start on the path to lasting sobriety.
I am aware that there are several newly developed physician-prescribed meds that can help Rachael through her withdrawal symptoms, through the drug and alcohol detox process, and help her avoid a drug or an alcohol relapse. Obviously it would be in Rachael’s best interests if she knew about these medications.
I would think that Rachael needs to admit the fact that there is entirely nothing productive about harmful drinking and chemical dependency and that involving herself in one or both conditions is the path to deteriorating health, legal problems, shattered relationships, poor work and school performance, a premature death, and financial difficulties.
The Significance of Support Groups Such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous
There are reasonably quite a few persons such as family members, other people, and friends who would like to help Rachael but she probably would experience greater acceptance from a support group such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous rather than listening to individuals who drink in moderation or who have never taken drugs.
When People Accomplish Things They Love and About Which They Are Dedicated
There’s a philosophical attitude that proclaims that people who accomplish things they love and something about which they are zealous arrive at an astonishing place in life. Stated differently, when people do what they enjoy, they hardly ever experience an uneventful life or boredom. If they involve themselves in something that is enjoyable, moreover, they become more whole and experience more pleasure and delight in life.
To me, this sounds like the exact opposite of a life that is rooted in drug and alcohol addiction because such a lifestyle removes the pleasure and delight that life offers.
Since Rachael doesn’t have the willpower to succeed at doing much of anything in her life, it is apparent that she badly needs some hope for a better existence. And the unfortunate thing is that hope is almost everywhere around Rachael if she could only get to the point in life to get the therapy she requires for her manic depression and alcoholism and drug addiction and adhere to her treatment routine.
A Wonderful Life, Self Respect, and Productive Change Are Possibilities
Rachael is simply too young to be crushed in life. She doesn’t comprehend this right now but if she can learn how to remove herself from alcohol and drugs through alcohol and drug rehabilitation and get the counseling she requires for her mental health condition, she can turn her life around and start living with passion, direction, and with self-respect.
A wonderful life, self esteem, and productive change are certainly a reality for Rachael if only she could get inspired to seek the professional treatment she requires, follow through with her therapy regimen, live her life in a sober and healthy manner, and foster a more positive attitude about her existence.

A Young Woman Requires Counseling for Her Manic Depression and For Her Drug Addiction and Alcohol Dependency
Nearly five weeks ago I heard about a twenty-five-year-old lady named Rachael who is bipolar and who is also drug and alcohol dependent. If I were in contact with Rachael I could advise her about quite a lot of websites and blogs that could possibly help her locate info about addiction and alcoholic behavior, important chemical dependency information, facts about alcoholism and drugs, and more information about addiction symptoms and alcoholism warning signs. From my perspective, nonetheless, Rachael needs to locate a psychologist she trusts and a rehabilitation protocol she can believe in and follow over the long term. Obviously it would be in Rachael’s best interests if she learned about these medications.
It seems clear that Rachael needs to admit the fact that there is utterly nothing productive about hazardous and excessive drinking and substance abuse and that engaging in one or both circumstances is the route to legal problems, deteriorating health, a premature death, poor work and school performance, shattered relationships, and financial difficulties.
The Significance of Recovery Groups Such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous
There are more likely than not several persons such as other individuals, friends, and family members who would like to help Rachael but she probably would experience greater sympathy from a support group such as Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous rather than listening to individuals who drink in moderation or who have never taken drugs.

In other words, when people do what they enjoy, they almost never go through boredom or an uneventful life. If they get involved in something that is worthwhile, furthermore, they become more complete and experience more gratification and joy in life.
To me, this sounds quite a bit different from a life that is rooted in chemical dependency because such a lifestyle removes the pleasure and joy that life has to offer.
Because Rachael lacks the motivation to do much of anything in her life, it is apparent that she definitely needs a little hope for a better life. And the sad thing is that hope is almost everywhere around Rachael if she could only get to the place in life to get the treatment she requires for her manic depression and alcohol addiction and drug dependence and continue with her treatment protocol.

She doesn’t understand this at the moment but if she can learn how to stay away from alcohol and drugs via alcohol and drug rehabilitation and get the treatment she requires for her manic depression issue, she can turn her life around and start living with self-respect, passion, and direction.
Beneficial change, self esteem, and a meaningful life are certainly possibilities for Rachael if only she could become motivated to get the medical rehab she needs, follow through with her treatment regimen, live her life in a healthy and alcohol and drug-free manner, and cultivate a more positive attitude about life.

A Weight Loss Inspirational Story From the Biggest Loser and How …
The hit TV Show The Biggest Loser has given us some great weight loss inspirational stories but there is none greater than the inspiring story of The Weight Loss Twins, Bill and Jim Germanakos. This article shares why they decided to do the show, how they won season 4 and how they are now showing others how to lose weight fast.
Bill and Jim knew they had to change their destructive ways. At a combined starting weight of 695 pounds they suffered with high blood pressure and high cholesterol which would lead to heart disease if they didn’t change course.
They had already gone through the pain of watching their father die at a young age from obesity related issues and they were determined to not make their families go through the pain of losing them.
It took a lot of courage to step on that scale for the opening of the Biggest Loser but once they did the brothers never looked back, even after Jim was voted off the ranch in week 5. This would have made some contestants give up but not Jim. He went on to lose a total of 186 pounds over the period of just 8 months and ended up winning the contest between the "eliminated" players.
Bill stayed on the ranch without his brother and at the finale he took home the grand prize by losing 164 pounds and dropping his weight down to 170 – almost half his original size!
The two brothers learned from their experience and from working so closely with the shows doctors, dietitians, trainers and psychologists. They learned how to eat frequently and exercise in such a way as to keep their metabolism working optimally – a huge reason for their success.
They also maintained a positive attitude and had a weight loss inspirational motto that they repeated, "to become half the men, so they can be twice the men." This helped them push through difficult days and stay focused on the great things that were to come.
Bill and Jim are a great weight loss inspirational story and they appreciate everyone who helped them on their journey. This is why they are now paying their success forward with their own weight loss system that they put together to inspire and educate others.
